Kmart Double Coupon Shopping Trip Number Two 12/08
I normally do not shop at Kmart simply because their prices are so ridiculously high! Even with my hordes of coupons, I didn't venture too far from the "Bargain Bin" items (aka free or really cheap after double coupons).
This was my third successful trip to Kmart during their double coupon madness. My first trip was back in October, then twice this round (November 30 - December 6) . During this trip I realized that Kmart has raised their prices, substantially, on the items that had previously been free after coupon. Sneaky! Sneaky! Sneaky!
My advise to everyone is to help each other compile a "Kmart free & nearly free shopping list", like the one I have here, and stick to it. Impulse buying at Kmart without a coupon will definitely put a strain on your wallet and cut a huge chunk out of your total savings.
All in all this trip was a good one thanks to the Meat coupons I acquired from ebay.

Transaction 3 through end of promo:

*************************************************
TIP:
If you are doing more than one transaction, try this:
Put 3 hand-held baskets in your cart with an envelope in each one. As you place items in the cart add the correct coupons to the envelopes. This comes in handy because if you buy more than 4 of one item, you have to separate it. When each basket reaches $50 put the $5 off Q in there. Keep a running tally in your head or write it down.
*************************************************
The back page of the sale ad shows several household laundry items that are a special promotion. If you buy any 3 qualifiers the register will automatically deduct $5 from your order. The Downy fabric softener, which qualifies, is on sale for 3 for $9. So, after the credit, 3 bottles for $4.00. Plus if you have any coupons, it would be an even better deal!

Has everyone heard about the huge Kmart news? Kmart is going to double coupons up to $2 at select Super Kmarts! My store was one of them.
I was awake at 6am, picked up my sister at 7am and my nephews wife at 8am. We had a really good time (mostly) We had a list of items we wanted to check out and I ended up getting $252 for $63 YEAH!!
We ran into the most VILE couponers (husband, wife and sister i think) with 4 carts...... their actions made me ashamed to be associated as a couponer! Seriously... telling personal "xxx honeymoon" stories from three isles over and everyone could here. Pushing other shoppers carts out of the way to completely clear a product off of a shelf (10-15 of the same thing at one time) without even asking if the person standing there wanted any. Putting all of their carts in one isle efficiently blocking an entire isle and refusing to let anyone through...It was awful.
THEN.... we also met a really nice lady from Terra Alta who we exchanged coupon info and coupons with and had a wonderful time helping others save money! I wish I would have asked for her contact information so we could have stayed in touch.
All in all it was a good time. We simply refused to let a few bad apples ruin it for everyone. Here's some of the things we bought: Dove Shampoo, Lifesavers, Energizer batteries, visine, maalox chew tabs for kids, wax paper, welchs, palmolive, pasta, J&J 1st aid, almay eye shadow, goodlife cat food. I hope everyone else had a wonderul time.
